Case Study:
The Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton is one of Canada’s most respected pediatric care centers. As part of their ongoing effort to create a more welcoming and uplifting environment for patients and visitors, the hospital introduced a vibrant new feature: The Beach which is a calming, ocean-themed atrium space designed to bring light, joy, and imagination into the hospital experience.
This installation was brought to life through the vision of a local interior designer, who imagined the ocean-inspired centerpiece, and the collaboration of our electrical engineer and electrical contractor. Together, the team worked closely to find the right lighting solution that balanced aesthetics, technical precision, and the hospital’s unique needs.
Extended Runs
The sculptural fins needed continuous lighting beyond standard LED Neon length limits.
Complex Location
Working closely with the metal fabricator and electrical contractor was key to fitting the LED channel within the fins’ intricate curves and scale.
Dynamic Lighting
The design required smooth, color-changing illumination to animate the sculpture without glare.
The SGi LED Neon with DMX control combines simplicity and flexibility, perfect for both new builds and retrofits.
